Peer Support
Peer support is parents and caregivers helping one another through shared experiences, understanding, and guidance. At Family Based Services Association of New Jersey, Inc., peer support means empowering families by providing emotional support, practical resources, and advocacy from individuals who have walked similar paths. It’s about meaningful connection, encouragement, and ensuring no parent ever feels alone on their journey.
Support Groups
Our support groups provide a safe, judgment-free environment where parents and caregivers can connect, share experiences, and uplift one another. Led by individuals with lived experience, these groups offer emotional support, practical strategies, and a true sense of community—ensuring families feel heard, empowered, and supported every step of the way.
Youth Partnership
Youth Partnership empowers young people to find their voice, build resilience, and create positive change in their lives and communities. Through peer connection, leadership development, and advocacy, youth gain the skills and confidence needed to navigate challenges, support one another, and actively shape their own futures.
YP Academy
YP Academy is a dynamic program where youth take their skills and mentorship beyond the classroom and into the community. Each YP Academy group is paired with a dedicated YP Coach and Mentor for the semester, ensuring personalized guidance, encouragement, and growth. Our academy is committed to creating meaningful, curated experiences that empower youth to apply leadership skills in real-world settings and become confident advocates for themselves and others.
Warm Line
The Warm Line is a confidential, non-crisis support line where parents and caregivers can connect with someone who truly understands. Staffed by experienced peers, the Warm Line offers compassionate listening, guidance, and resources to help families navigate challenges related to mental health, behavioral concerns, substance use, and developmental delays—providing reassurance and support during difficult moments.
